Stream of Consciousness (3/5/14)

Trekking forward and backward
In mind and time and space -
Taking distance as inevitable;
Building walls around scenarios,
Ever-developing open fields of
Possibilities beckon the careful ear;
Watch and wait, you say;
See the hand of God;
The mighty outstretched arm
That made the heavens can lift any burden,
Move any mountain,
Overcome all;
You are an overcomer if you can but believe;
Elbows greased with self efforts -
Endeavours of fruitless expenditures
Outside the vine,
Outside of time,
Awaits the promise of completion;
The apple ripe for harvest,
Pruned back for twice as many next year;
Yet the waiting feels torturous;
Ironic for humans to whom
Time is but a vapour;
In a hurry for what is the culmination;
Missing all the build up;
Missing all the blessings upon blessings,
Stacking into a mountain of climax
That will never fall into a denouement,
But will remain on that peak
Unable to be pulled down again
By the weight and gravity of the world;
Gravity is but the grave
And can no longer hold an ethereal body;
So arise, Soul!
